Supporting cocoa farmers near Bedomase - Ashanti - Ghana

After asking the farmers for their agreement to put on my website their pictures (their only remark was that they are wearing everydays farm clothes) I have decided to give some details about my first intervention in Africa.

I am planning a trip to Ghana towards the end of October 2009 also to settle some legal details, but inthe meantime Abu is distributing and managing my first loans.

I feel this is one of the greatest achievements in my life.

	"Dear Renzo, As I mentioned to you yesterday, the money has arrived at save hands and disbursement will take place on Monday. I have have set up my own rules to govern the micro loan. Your suggestions are however welcome.I used to mention that i live with them and know how to handle them so there is no cause for alarm. I think the name ASKRENZO FOR GHANA MICRO CREDIT is ok for you.I will do all the paper work and forward some copies to you as records. As you asked yesterday whether my family and some work will benefit from the funds, i wish to catergorically state it that the money is for ASKRENZO FOR GHANA MICROCREDIT and not for myself or family.My relations who registered with me and are trustworthy will equally benefit. ANY FARMER IN THE COMMUNITY IS WELCOME
